Manned Underwater Vehicles 6th Annual Submersible Program
Underwater
Intervention 2009 will take place from March 3 to5th 2009 and will be the
host for the MTS Manned Submersible's 6th Annual Meeting. All industry
professionals are invited to participate by submitting an Abstract for a
paper or presentation. Deadline is Oct. 31, 2008. Contact Will Kohnen at will.kohnen@seamagine.com

The
industry mourns the passing of Ralph B White, 1941-2008
On
Monday February 4th, 2008 Ralph White left us after an adventure that took
him to all parts of the world and to the depths of the oceans. His
memorial service was held at the Hollywood Hills Memorial Park, attended
by a large group of people he touched in his life. He will be missed.
11/15/2007:
Dr.
Sagalevich to present his North Pole Expedition at UI2008
A
special presentation by Dr. Sagalevich from the Shirshov Institute of
Oceanology, Moscow, Russia, will talk about the expedition in the summer
of 2008 that took the two MIR submersibles to the North Pole.

MTS MUV Annual Committee Meeting Scheduled
for Jan 31st, 2008
The
MTS Manned Underwater Vehicles committee annual meeting will be held
during Underwater Intervention 2008, on Thursday Jan 31st, 2008 at 1:30PM
at the Morial Convention Center, in room 338.
